SUMMARY:All Inclusive – Yoga for Everyone!
DESCRIPTION:Yoga in its original form is inclusive, as it aims to meet people exactly where they are.\nWhat does inclusion mean?\nInclusion means that every person is an important part of society and is needed so that society is unique and complete. But how does inclusion work in children’s and/or teen yoga? Can it work well? What do you need to keep in mind? \nSo many questions…\nWhat do children and teenagers with special needs require? How do I design an inclusive yoga class? What matters when you teach children with special educational needs or diagnoses such as trisomy 21, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), AD(H)D, or epilepsy? How do I teach in a trauma-sensitive way, and is that even possible with children and teenagers? What do I need as a children’s/teen yoga teacher to feel confident and well equipped? Questions that inevitably come up when we engage with this topic. \nWhy this training?\nIn this training, we will explore different disabilities and individual needs and look at what to consider in each case. We will look at whether it differs from “regular” children’s yoga, and we will gather ideas together and develop class plans. \nMaybe over this weekend you’ll realize that we all have our “handicaps”, so being different isn’t anything special—or maybe it is after all!?\nTo truly meet every child where they are, it makes sense to expand your own toolkit with basic knowledge about children and teenagers with special needs, so that we can all help our children grow up in a world where, hopefully soon, we can all say: All Inclusive – Yoga for everyone!\nWhat can I share with you?\nI worked for 21 years at a school specializing in intellectual development, and yoga was always part of my teaching—whether as an after-school club, in the morning circle, or in PE lessons. I share my professional experience from almost 30 years in special education and over 20 years of yoga with you. \nLet’s show that every person is exactly right just as they are—and that everyone, truly everyone, can practise yoga!\nWhen and where?\nDate: Saturday, October 4, 2026, and Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM each day, online-live via Zoom.\nCost: Early bird until August 31, 2026: €250, from September 1, 2026: €290, incl. handout and certificate of participation \n \n \n
