But what does Samadhi actually mean? <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"text-align: left;\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"lt3g\" data-offset-key=\"b1tk2-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"b1tk2-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"b1tk2-0-0\">Sometimes you read about advanced yogis and those who (think they) already know pretty well how it works. Sometimes Samadhi is equated with enlightenment.  <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"text-align: left;\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"lt3g\" data-offset-key=\"9eifh-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"9eifh-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"9eifh-0-0\">Only you can find out what it means for you, because that&#8217;s what the scriptures and ancient philosophical texts are for: self-exploration. ?\u2764<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"text-align: left;\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"lt3g\" data-offset-key=\"4nj4k-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"4nj4k-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"4nj4k-0-0\">You are not told what to do or how to do it. The same applies to the eight-limbed path, which is not a ladder you climb rung by rung to finally: Ta-da! achieve enlightenment.  <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"text-align: left;\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"lt3g\" data-offset-key=\"bm6gq-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"bm6gq-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"bm6gq-0-0\">? That&#8217;s why I personally love the concept of the beginner&#8217;s mind so much.  <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"text-align: left;\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"lt3g\" data-offset-key=\"60i70-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"60i70-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"60i70-0-0\">Yes, I&#8217;ve been practicing yoga for 25 years, but I am still a practitioner, a student, and not infrequently a complete beginner. Things I thought I had explored slip away from me again and want to be (re)discovered. And yet I am incredibly grateful that I get to grapple with myself again and again. Without yoga, the last 24 months would certainly have been even more difficult&#8230;   <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"text-align: left;\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"lt3g\" data-offset-key=\"8uguk-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"8uguk-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"8uguk-0-0\">Because the stillness, the coming to rest, helps me to become clearer again, to stay with myself. Especially when the outside world intervenes so strongly. <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"text-align: left;\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"lt3g\" data-offset-key=\"5ijfr-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"5ijfr-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"5ijfr-0-0\">Perhaps we should practice staying with ourselves even more. Because as my wonderful teacher Eberhard always beautifully quotes from his teacher: The problem is you (me). The solution is you (me)!  <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"text-align: left;\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"lt3g\" data-offset-key=\"4opse-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"4opse-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"4opse-0-0\">In this spirit, I wish you many quiet moments.
