All Inclusive – Yoga for Everyone!

This post is also available in: Deutsch (German) Español (Spanish)

Yoga in its original form is inclusive, as it aims to meet people exactly where they are.

Inclusion sounds great. But what do I do in practice when a child reacts very differently than expected?

An inclusive yoga class is more than a nice idea. In practice, questions quickly come up:

What does a child with a disability or neurodivergence really need?

How do I adapt exercises without constantly treating the child as “different”?

What do I do in cases of sensory overload, challenging behavior, or lack of concentration?

How can I safely support children and teens with autism, AD(H)D, trisomy 21, or epilepsy?

And what can trauma-informed work in yoga actually look like?

This is exactly where this advanced training comes in.

Yoga is for everyone. But not every yoga class is automatically inclusive.

Yoga aims to meet people where they are. That takes more than good exercises. It takes educational expertise, a confident eye for the child, and the ability to adapt yoga flexibly to different needs.

In this advanced training, we bring together yoga, education, inclusion, and nervous system knowledge.

You won’t just learn about different diagnoses. You’ll learn what they can mean in your day-to-day educational work and how to develop concrete options for action for your yoga practice.

My experience becomes your toolkit.

I don’t just bring theoretical knowledge:

I worked for 21 years at a school specializing in intellectual development support and naturally integrated yoga into my everyday educational work there: in class, in PE, in morning circle, and in extracurricular groups.

This many years of experience in education and yoga shape my advanced training.

You won’t get a checklist along the lines of “Diagnosis X = Exercise Y.”

We’ll take a closer look:

What does this child need?

What helps them feel safe?

What can I change?

What attitude does it require from me?

And how can yoga become a space where every child can truly participate?

What to expect:

You’ll receive practical foundational knowledge about different impairments and special needs and explore what this means for your work.

We’ll cover, among other things:

– autism spectrum

– AD(H)D

– trisomy 21

– epilepsy

– special educational needs

– neurodivergence

– challenging behavior

– sensory processing and regulation

– trauma-informed work

– adapting yoga exercises and class formats

– inclusive design of children’s and teen yoga

Together, we’ll develop concrete ideas and yoga classes that you can transfer directly into your practice.

What you’ll be able to do after the training:

You’ll approach your work with more confidence and a significantly expanded educational scope for action.

You can:

✓ notice and assess needs better

✓ adapt yoga exercises and classes flexibly

✓ support inclusive groups more confidently

✓ handle challenging situations more competently

✓ take sensory overload and regulation needs into account

✓ work in a more trauma-informed way

✓ further develop your educational approach

✓ expand your toolkit with practical tools you can use right away

30 years of educational experience meet over 25 years of yoga.

Plus 21 years of hands-on experience in special education.

That’s why I’ll show you not only what’s theoretically possible, but what has actually proven effective in everyday educational practice.

Because inclusion doesn’t start with a diagnosis. It starts with how we see the person.
