Vagus Yoga: Calm and Slowness

This post is also available in: Deutsch (German) Español (Spanish)

Enter the new year with peace and strength

This four-part yoga course invites you to start the new year consciously and slowly. Gentle, calm movements, breathing exercises, meditation, and impulses to regulate the nervous system help to release stress and gain new strength. The focus is on deceleration, inner stability, and deep relaxation.
The course offers space to arrive, breathe deeply, and recharge—for more serenity, clarity, and connection with yourself.

Four evenings—a break for body, mind, and nervous system.

Our lives are characterized by speed and performance, but who says that you perform better when you are fast? Don’t we often lose our mindfulness then? Especially for ourselves? How about starting the new year a little differently?

Speed is a habit that doesn’t really do us any good in many cases. Let’s rediscover slowness. Nature also develops slowly. Spring shows us this wonderfully. A flower bud needs time and rest to unfold.

With a calm, flowing, and mindful practice, we will explore how we can connect our movement with our breath and how we can succeed in simply watching. We will learn exercises to calm our nervous system that are suitable for everyday use. We will also meditate and practice Yoga Nidra.

Monday evening is deliberately chosen because at the beginning of the week, our fast everyday life usually starts again. So, at the beginning of the week, we want to remind ourselves again how it can be different.

We meet from 7:00 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. online live via Zoom, so that you can end the day in peace and quiet afterwards.

You will also receive a small handout with ideas on how you can cultivate slowness and mindfulness for yourself, and you will also receive an audio file “Yoga Nidra” with which you can continue practicing.
